Billy and Eileen NicelyBilly and Eileen are true motorcycle junkies. Billy has been riding since the age of 14, when in the state of Kansas, you were able to operate a Moped at that age and he was off and running. Through the years he's owned a variety of bikes, up to his Harley Road Glide Ultra that he swears he'll never part with. Who's heard that one before?

Wife Eileen shares the same passion. Billy firmly believes she fell in love with his Harley first and then him! Eileen rode many years and miles on the back of Billy's 1200 Sportster. When he upgraded to the Road Glide in 2011, they decided she should get her own license and motorcycle, and ended up with a Harley Heritage Classic 18 days later. Since then they've been riding together and racking up the miles. They're both Iron Butt Extreme riders and touring together has taken on a whole new meaning. Discovering the Tour of Honor was considered a gift to them, and in 2012 they visited 43 sites in 11 states even though they started late in the season.

Eileen can often be heard yelling at Billy, “put the polish away and lets ride!” He admits that her zest for riding amazes him and after a little grumbling, they head off to add another few hundred miles to their belts for the day; enjoying their shared passion for the ride and in the case of Tour of Honor, the destinations!

Billy grew up a military brat, with both his parents, and stepfather, being Marines. It was only natural for him to enter into the service after high school, but what surprised him was that all three of them discouraged following their footsteps into the Corps, and everyone settled on the Air Force. The Air Force fit Billy like a glove and now he's a proudly retired Airman.

Eileen Nicely at Wreaths Across AmericaBoth Billy and Eileen are active veteran supporters. In their local Harley Owners Group (HOG) chapter, Billy is the Military Liaison and Eileen is the Secretary. They and their group participate in many events that support our military and veterans. From poker runs, Travis Manion Foundation rides, Rolling Thunder, and most recently Wreaths Across America. The Wreaths Across America Escort is a convoy of a dozen tractor trailers loaded with wreaths from Maine to Arlington National Cemetery that are placed on the tombstones during the holiday season. They highly recommend that Tour of Honor riders get involved in Wreaths Across America next December 14!
