Post a picture. Through this site and the Tour of Honor we have the opportunity to remember those we should not forget. The friends with whom we served, the family we may have lost, and those we did not know, but who's path we crossed. So with that thought I post a picture of my best friend, Bill Carr, USN. He was my best friend growing up and served in the USN in 1966. He came ashore and found me in Chu Lai, RVN. We took a landing craft out to his ship so I could get a glass of milk, a long story from another time but something I will not forget. He is no longer with us but I will never forget him, he was my friend.

Sorry for your loss, Grant. It's nice that you remember him the way you do, I'm sure he appreciates that. Here's a toast to Bill Carr, USN.

Bill looks a lot like my best buddy from the Navy. He lives in New York and we haven't seen each other in years, but even so, thinking of him dying made my breath catch a little. I guess I'll call him today and make fun of him for something.
