I was at the D-Day Memorial in Bedford the day before the big dedication ceremony, and it's even more moving now. One of my uncles served in WWII and went ashore at Normandy (though I'm not sure if he was there on D-Day itself). We have an awful lot to be thankful for in this country, and these stops drive that point home...
