Thanks, Matthew... I had really wanted to get a shot of the flag but was shooting directly into the sun. The breeze floated the flag up, draping me in its shadow... AHA!! A photo concept is born!!

I took a similar picture of the flag on my front porch last Sunday. I thought the "glow" effect was great.

My first rally flag...still getting the hang of positioning it and getting the date and time on the photos!

So, Ellen, at the Flying Cross Memorial, it looks like you rode (or maybe pushed) your bike from the parking lot down the sidewalk past the aircraft on the left to get to the spot in your photo. Did anybody give you flak over that? (pun intended)

Rode the bike down the sidewalk. Other than my husband who was ahead of me, there wasn't anyone around. I don't think I would have attempted it otherwise.
