California Memorials

Hey, I've been to one of these places before! Back when I was training for the IBR I visited every county courthouse in California. Here's the Kern County courthouse, with the bare edge of the memorial visible on the right. As for real TOH photos, hopefully I'll have the USS Hornet by nightfall today.

By the way, that courthouse is where I work, but that's not the right memorial. That's the Vietnam Vets memorial. The correct one is about 8 blocks away near the Chamber of Commerce and the Amtrak station. I made the same mistake this morning and grabbed the Vietnam Vets Memorial on my way in to work. Oops. I'll fix that this afternoon.

Hey, what happened? First time I checked out the site, there was a pic of the courthouse as the TOH bonus. Now it's a different pic. Did Steve and Dave slip in a change? Only the photo changed, the waypoint is the same.

My bad for posting the wrong photo in Bakersfield. If someone submits the Vietnam Veterans memorial that *used* to be on the website, they'd still get credit.
