This memorial was dedicated on October 27, 2010, honoring pilots that were awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross Award, the highest aviation honor. The first two recipients of the Award were Charles Lindbergh after completing the first solo transatlantic flight, and Lt. Herbert Dargue, a promoter of the Pan-American Goodwill flights to the Central and South Americas in the 1920s. Representations of their planes are part of the memorial. NOTE: Closed Mondays, limited hours, check with the March Field Air Museum.

Nearby is the popular War Dogs Memorial in memory of the canines who played important roles during wartime.

Bonus stop: Across the road is the Riverside National Cemetery that includes the following memorials: All Veterans Memorial, Medal of Honor Memorial, and POW/MIA Memorial.
