This memorial is dedicated to “All Veterans of All Wars” and consists of an 80-foot Circle of Memories. Granite monuments are dedicated to the nation’s conflicts from the American Revolution through the Vietnam War and includes Desert Storm. The first monument is the Peace Monument. Also included is a memorial to the Tuskegee Airmen, the highly decorated all-black fighter squadrons.

Also included is a monument to the SS Leopoldville, a passenger liner converted into a troop carrier, that carried soldiers across the English Channel. On Christmas Eve, 1944, five months from the end of the war in Europe, it was steaming toward the Battle of the Bulge with reinforcements from the U.S. and Britian. Just five miles from Cherbourg, France, it was struck by a torpedo from a U-boat and sank, carrying 800 U.S. infantrymen with her.

Bonus stops: Memorials are in "Space View Park," known as the best place for public viewing of launches from the Kennedy Space Center. The U.S. Space Walk of Fame is a block away. Also in the area is the American Police Hall of Fame.
