Michael Boyd is a patriot civilian with relatives who served and feels this is a way to honor their commitment to our great nation. He also strongly believes in the Wounded Warrior Project’s mission, vision and purpose.

After 15 years in Arizona, Michael found himself relocated to Florida so his wife could be closer to her daughter and grandbaby. Having been in Florida for only seven months, chasing lighthouses and visiting monuments to our service men and women is an excellent way to explore the new surroundings. "Florida is a great state for riding" he says.

He grew up on dirt bikes, Dad once sold them, had an XR75 as a surprise on the back patio after school one day. Which he quickly tried to use to rearrange their neighbor's woodpile! He says he felt like a king on his Honda ATC200X while his friends were on their balloon-tired hunting machines.

There were a few other scoots mixed in. Honda CB360T, Honda VT500 Ascot, Vulcan 1500A, SV1000S.

He put myself through 700+ miles in the saddle of a 2006 SV1000s from Phoenix to Tooele, UT (in about 12 hours) for World SBK 2009. Following that blast and the ensuing tour of Utah, the Four Corners area, and back to Phoenix, he felt the need for a change, so enter the 2009 Concours14, La otra mujer!

This is Michael's second year participating, first time as a sponsor. Rode the extreme SS1K AZ with friend Brian Thorn in Arizona.
