A stone bike, kneeling riders and the site of the annual blessing of the motorcyclists by the Oblate Fathers and Brothers at the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace. This is the mecca of monuments for riders in New England. The road to the shrine offers some of the finest riding in New England.

Attending the Blessing of the Motorcyclists is a “must do” bucket list item – this year it is Friday June 22 thru Sunday the 24th. The real activity is on Saturday featuring the motorcycle rodeo, downtown Main Street fair (Main Street is closed to all traffic except motorcycles) including vendors & music before the Bike Show (and prizes) and the evening’s parade before the night’s Biker’s Ball. Sunday is the actual Motorcycle Blessing.

Also in the area: A short half hour’s ride north takes you to the town of Derby Line where you can browse the stacks in the Haskell Free Library and find a painted line running through the reading room – there you’ll be able to stand in Canada and the United States at the same time. Derby Line is built half in the US and half in Canada (where it is called Stanstead Quebec).
