One-half mile south of the town of Covington on OK-74 sits the Covington Community Cemetery. On the far West side is a monument dedicated to veterans from the Covington-Douglas school district.

The monument reads: "This veteran's monument is dedicated with love and gratitude to those individuals of the Covington-Douglas school district who have, are and will serve in America's militaries. We shall always be indebted to them for their service and sacrifice to protect America's freedoms."

Bonus Site: The Covington Jail at 550 W. Main St. consists of two small cells and a small office between them. Each cell has a small one foot by two foot barred window. A heavy iron grid door is located at the center front.
