This monument is dedicated to the memory of Baker county residents lost from WW I through Vietnam. The column contains the names of the men and women lost in the conflicts:

“In memory of all veterans who gave their lives defending Americas eternal freedoms.”

American's freedoms are symbolized by an eternal flame burning atop the monument.
