The is an excellent museum with exhibits from the Civil War to present. You should make it a point to stop in and view the displays. Usually staffed by local Veterans and open Tuesday thru Saturday 1000 hrs to 1600 hrs. Closed Sundays and Mondays.

Also in the area: Granbury is also a great destination town and vacation spot. The Old Town Center is filled with antique shops and a coffee shop with free WiFi.

For entertainment and history, take a short ride to Dublin and visit the first Dr. Pepper Bottling Plant at 105 E Elm St, Dublin, Texas. You can eat in their Fountain Shop and purchase Dublin Dr. Pepper, the only version in a bottle made with pure cane sugar.
